Patrick/ Pat
Patrick was born and raised in Perth, and has found his way over to FNQ after completing his degree in Electrical Engineering. He is now working at Tully Sugar's Electrical Department. Pat has always had a love for the arts, especially improvised comedy, which he performed fortnightly in university, at Perth Fringe Festival, and at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. He is currently teaching an Improv
class every Tuesday with MATES at the Mission Arts centre. He hopes to be a friendly face to the performers, and is excited to see what talent the Cassowary Coast has on offer! -
John
John has played the piano for 60 years. Among all the life changes in this time, playing the piano has been a constant in his life.
He finds playing the piano a great creative and therapeutic tool. John has played in restaurants, piano bars, cruise ships and has written many songs that he still plays and sings today.
For John, the most important part of playing and practicing the piano, is that it is FUN!
John feels we are blest if we are able to find something on our journey through life that we can lose ourselves in the doing, simply focus on the activity without the pressure of performance, with practice and kindness the skills will come in their own time and place.
John will judge the local entertainers with kindness and compassion, particularly looking for creativeness and uniqueness in the acts. You may recognise John as one half of the local, musical duo Autumn Echoes. -
